NIGMATULLINA Tanzilya Altafovna

Doctor of Political Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Assistant Professor, the Honorary Worker in the realm of youth policy of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation.

Ms Nigmatullina was born on the 8th of June 1966. She graduated from the History Department of the Bashkir State University in 1991 and from the Law Department of the Bashkir State University in 2001.

Since 1991 Ms Nigmatullina worked as a teacher at Ufa College of Statistics, Informatics and Computation then as a senior teacher and the head of the National Culture Chair of Ufa State Academy of Economics and Service. In 2008 she became the director of the Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies (branch of) the Academy of Labour and Social Relations.

In 2008 Ms Nigmatullina presented the candidate thesis “Formation and Development of Ufa Municipal Government” (the research advisor — L.D. Matveeva, Doctor of Historical Sciences).

In 2013 Ms Nigmatullina presented the doctoral thesis “Youth policy in the Context of Russian Federalism: Regional Aspect” (Scientific Consultant — N.V. Mikhailova, Doctor of Political Sciences).

Ms Nigmatullina is the Editor in chief of the academic journal “Vestnik BIST (Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies)” listed among recommended by State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of Russia.

She is:

  • A Member of the Commission for the Development of Civil Society Institutions of the Civic Chamber of the city of Ufa;
  • A Regional coordinator of the network of UNESCO Associated Schools in the Bashkortostan region, a Head of the Children’s Chamber of UNESCO Associated Schools;
  • A Head of the UNESCO-UNEVOC Center in the Russian Federation on the basis of the Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies;
  • A Deputy Chairman of the regional branch for the Republic of Bashkortostan “Center for Combating Corruption in Government Bodies”;
  • A Member of the Board of Trustees of ROF Rima Batalova “Youth of the Nation”.

Ms Nigmatullina is a delegate on the board of city administration of Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the chairperson of the Social Council under Ministry of Housing and Utilities Infrastructure of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Head of UNESCO and UNEVOC Centre in the Russian Federation housed by Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies, the head of Public Children Rights Department of Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies under the UNESCO affairs committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Main academic interests: youth policy, political mediation, interethnic and multi-religious relations.

The author of more than 100 research articles, 14 monographs, 19 educational books.
